Children's Ministry Coordinator
To coordinate all ministry activities related to the Nursery and Preschool Ministry teams. To collaborate with other Children’s Ministry Coordinators to create, develop, and maintain systems, processes and programs to manage the Children’s Ministry teams. This includes placement, scheduling, retention, and gift-matching to align with the Victory Kids Vision and Values. To produce training materials and modules, as it pertains to orientation, scheduling and all other aspects of coordinating teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate and execute alongside the Children’s Ministry staff in all efforts pertaining to communication, recruitment, gift-matching, volunteer appreciation, surveys, scheduling, committees, team coverage (weekend, holiday, and other services), retention, and theming.
- Assist Pastor in general oversight of the ministry through the execution of discipleship, projects, theming, initiatives and objectives as well as provision of data, reports, and perspective of the ministry.
- Lead, assist and/or participate in set-up, development, preparation and execution of all Children’s regular or special services, ministry activities, orientations, and special events (leadership meetings, trainings etc.).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Nursery – Preschool Ministry teams.
- Assist with regular evaluation of the ministry by obtaining feedback from pastors, parents, and team members.
- Conduct research to develop proposals for future development, and execute projects designed to solve the problems discovered from feedback.
- Deliver accurate, high-quality documentation within a specified timeline for the ministry staff. This includes management and reporting of team information and scheduling processes.
- Maintain up-to-date digital records for team members, which includes background checks, profile information, positions, schedules, audits and communication.
- Facilitate new team member orientation by securing the location, handling communication, preparing printed materials, taking photos, and finalizing placement/scheduling.
- Ensure completion of all documentation and vetting for new team members.
- Participate in team/personal development (book assignments, conferences, sermons, articles, trainings etc).
- Participate in the development and implementation of Children’s Ministry operations.
- Collaborate with the Central Ministry Team and other campus leaders on all global and campus specific operations and for ministry purposes.
- Participate in Norcross/Central campuses and all staff meetings.
- Participate in Victory Kids committee planning and implementation as requested.
- Collaborate with Victory Kids Pastors and distribute all campus-specific communication.
- Collaborate with managing Victory Kids social media.
- Connect with new team members at least once within the first 90 days of serving to evaluate experience and address any questions or challenges.
- Update and maintain Rock for the Nursery-Preschool Ministry.
- Track and manage existing volunteering serving records in Rock.
- Run reports in Rock, as needed.
- Input new team member information
- Oversee Volunteer Operations
- Assist in facilitating transitions of responsibilities, upon volunteer promotion and/or resignation for the Nursery - Preschool Ministry teams.
- Prepare all materials to be used for services. [Announcements, Roster, Onboarding Materials, etc.]
- At the start of the month load all available curriculum media on playlister to be used for services for the month. Load all curriculum onto Planning Center for team members to review the week before their serving time.
- Confirm all positions are covered for weekend services.
- Assist in overseeing weekend services.
- Prepare all ministry rooms for weekend services as needed.
- Support Ministry Leaders in leading pre-service meetings before each service, as needed.

- 2+ years in children’s ministry preferred.
- 2+ years experience in leadership role required.
- Ability to work in fast-paced team environment required.
- Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
- Proficient in both Mac environment and Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Experience with Adobe and ProPresenter preferred.
- Experience working with database software preferred.
